Lock it up. I have two friends who lost generators to thieves, one a 1000
and one a 3000. Some witnesses saw the theft of the 3000, but didn't stop
the thieves. They just climbed in the back of the truck, lifted it out and
into their truck, and took off.

I always keep mine chained, with two chains and two locks, when on the road.
I don't intend to lose it, or to make it very hard to steal, at least.
