Just do it.  What's overpriced?  Are you planning to use it once and
then resell it?  Unless that's the plan, you needn't worry about saving
$5 a day over a 10 year ownership.

I don't remember how much we have into our trailer now, just that it's
an expensive hobby.  I can say, though, we just had a great weekend, and
it cost nothing but the price of gas ($75--ouch).  We were in
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.  Dry camping in the most beautiful
backcountry is free, and we stopped in Blair Valley, a mile from the
paved road at the foot of a rocky ridge above a vernal pool.  The desert
sky was absolutely dark and the stars intense.  At night we were visited
by coyotes, at dawn by owls and eagles.  With daytime temps in the upper
80s, and overnights in the low 50s, there's not a better time to
experience the desert.

My recommendation, if the trailer is the size, vintage, and plan you
want, is "buy it up!"  Start you adventures sooner; the memories will
last a lifetime.
