RE: [A/S] Honda Generators

I'm not a generator owner at this time but have one observation.  There is 
ONE guy at the hunting camp who insists on bringiing a Briggs & Stratton 5 
or 8 H.P. powered generator whose muffler has seen it's better day.  It is 
loud and simply annoys everyone.  The year before last we gave him so much 
grief that he showed up with sound board insulation made into a 3 sided box. 
  He placed the generator inside and pointed the open area down the hill 
toward a "hollar".  It helped quite a bit but then it shut off around 11 
p.m. after I had been asleep for several hours.  That is what woke me up, 
the silence.  All I can say is that someone else had a small Honda and from 
inside the trailer it actually lulled me to sleep.  It shut down sometime 
early in the morning but it was time to get up anyway so I was not annoyed.  
This is why I have hesitated to buy one but it looking like I will have to 
join the clud sometime within the next 2 years.
