Patti, Don't get fooled, there is no such thing as a quiet generator. 
Granted Honda's are quiet for a generator but, that 57 decibel rating 
they have is without a load. Take your coffee maker and microwave to 
your nearest dealer plug them in to a eu2000 (a 1000 won't do it) and 
make a pot of coffee and warm a bagel and try to talk to the 
salesman. Then decide if it is quiet or not.  Later, AL
