RE: [A/S] Numbering Airstreams

A/S in the 2000-2002 years was making about 400 rigs a year. That has
ramped up to to something over 30 rigs a week currently due to demand.
The mix of models was/is totally dependent on what the dealers ordered
(A/S does not build any units on speculation or to inventory).  As for
the 1 of 14 type designation, I know that our 2002 Bambi was 1-of-2 made
fully loaded with a front sofa rather than a dinette.  I was told by A/S
that 1 with the front sofa was made in the 2001 model year as a special
order and that led to the decision to make it optional.  Not sure if any
were made in 2003 or 2004 model years, but based on info from soon-to-be
owners of 2005 Bambi unit, there will be at least several in the class
of 2005.  As A/S keeps all the detailed construction info vs VIN, a
matrix of what models, with what options vs year, could be constructed
if A/S would cooperate.
