Okay, I think that I am finally making progress. I think that all of my 
electrical problems are related to a device that the last owner installed 
presumably to prevent battery drain down. He has installed a solenoid which disconnects 
both batteries when the ignition key is shut off, and the solenoid closes, 
connecting the batteries when the key is turned on. This is probably not a bad 
idea, but it prevents the coach battery from powering the devices without the 
key on or on accessory, and it seems to have developed a fault in the start 
position as I must go under the hood to activate the starter. So, I would prefer 
to eliminate this whole arrangement and go back to the stock wiring 
arrangement. Does anyone have a proper schematic for a 1976 Argosy 28 footer?
