Thanks for the advice: $650 was probably cost for the unit not a written 
estimate.  It was a lot less than another estimated guess at replacing the 
original air unit, which is still miraculously working.
I found someone in this county (Pasco, FL) that will repair my 'antique' 
Argosy.  Will, at Sun Toyota RV mobile service.  He came to my site to fix my 
kitchen and bath plumbing, another miracle!  I guess the air is his next job!
