I have a 14K Equalizer (special order) hitch setup, It does get noisy 
going around corners as the bars slide.  I've often thought about adding 
in some teflon pads that would be replaceable as they wore, I think this 
would quiet the operation down considerably.  It would stll allow for 
the required friction to be in place as well as allow for the proiper 
movement of the components during towing.

Some day I'll contact the manufactuer about this idea.

Other than noise issue, I'm completely satisfied with the Hitch and it's 
operation.
