Re: [A/S] Arnie/Custom Trucks
Actually, Hunter I was refering to new trucks. The old ones are
all in junkyards. If you watch as you travel, you will see a lot of
trucks built to do a certain kind of job wether it be towing,
plumbing, electrition, etc. The first requirement when buying any
vehicle is getting one that will do the job you want done. If it
doesn't, you add or subtract from it so it will. Many new trucks are
bought as "cab and chassis" and they built up from there. We have
near here a company that does nothing but build custom alum truck
bodies. He has a stack of new truck boxes for sale. And it may
surprise you how many of these custom trucks are in the hands of
private individuals. I was in buss for many years and kept two
trucks, one for a portable welder and another as "parts chaser". Both
had custom bodies suited to the job requirements. You like to have a
standard box with a topper for covered storage. I,on the other hand
don't like crawling into the back of a truck on my hands and knees. I
find it easier to just reach over the side for things. You have a
nice truck that does what you want. And I am not the only one who
wants something else. Take care..Arnie
