Re: [A/S] Future wax
Great information, thanks!
Andy, at Inland says, "The vinyl clad aluminum that Airstream used on the
interiors has been a subject of confusion from day one.
First of all, the vinyl is "not" glued to the metal. Instead it is boded to
the metal with a heat process, therefore there is no glue or adhesives of any
kind involved.
Most of the sticky interiors are caused by cooking with grease as well as
smoking.
I came up with the "Future floor wax" in 1972. The interior vinyclad surfaces
should be clean, before the future floor wax is applied.
After that, then the walls will no longer become sticky, since the wax has
sealed the vinyl from the atmosphere.
Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion."
So, there you have it.
