Re: [A/S] 1971 Airstream
Jack:
There are lots of that enjoy our Vintage Airstreams.
I see the choice as fairly simple.
Vintage:
1) You have the time, tools, space to work, and some basic skills to
do some work to upgrade, perhaps do some restoration, and
maintenance.
2)You enjoy doing it.
3) You will take pride in your work and the Vintage trailer.
4) If most of the above is not true forget Vintage.
Hunter mentioned that a 1971 does not have gray water tanks, true.
I installed about 30 gallons of gray water tanks and if I didn't
tell you, you wouldn't likely see where it was done.
New:
Spend mega bucks on a new Airstream and expect to have to do minimal
work to maintain it for at least the first few years.
You will enjoy the use without having to do any work on the trailer.
Hunter may even disagree with this, she lives in her relatively new
trailer and always seems to be doing something to make it suite her
taste or comfort.
