Welcome to the List and the world of Vintage Airstreaming!

While I can't help you with a storage location as I have been away 
from the Chicago area for a number of years, I can give you a lead on 
a very good Airstream repair location just a few hours away.  If you 
check, I think that you will find that the Airstream dealer nearest 
Chicago is a relative newcomer and may not be comfortable working on 
Vintage Coaches - - his predecessor in Bradley, IL certainly didn't 
seem to like to work on Vintage coaches, but I do not have personal 
experience with the current Airstream dealer in Gilman, IL.

I have had an eight year track record with Ace Fogdall RV, Inc., in 
Cedar Falls, Iowa.  They have been Airstream dealers since the 1960s 
and are VERY Vintage Friendly.  They just recently installed a new 
axle on my Minuet as well as several other restoration measures - - I 
would not hesitate to recommend their service department for any 
repairs that you might anticipate.  You can find them on the Web at:

The folks at Ace Fogdall have done a tremendous amount of restoration 
and refurbishing on both of my coaches, and I have been completely 
satisfied with everything that they have done.
