Re: [A/S] Digest Number 1857-- Cleaning, Flooring, and Wheels

Greetings Jim!

I have had the Armstrong laminate flooring in my '78 Argosy Minuet
6.0 Metre for almost a year. The Fowlers (Fowler Interiors,
Symsonia, Kentucky) handled the installation over the aluminum
composite floors found in the Minuet. It has been an absolutely
wonderful flooring - - easy to clean (I have two Chihuahuas
traveling with me on most trips), and with the special extra thick
Armstrong laminate flooring pad under the floor it is quiet
underfoot and it doesn't telegraph the rivets that attach the floor
to the chasis as I was afraid that it might. It did increase the
weight of the coach about 65 pounds, but I can deal with that
through careful packing as carpeting just was not an option with the
Chihuahuas and my allergies.

While I am absolutely satisfied with the Armstrong Laminate (a light
cherry wood-tone), I still like the heavy duty Congoleum commercial
vinyl floor covering that I have in my '64 Overlander.

Good luck with your flooring quandry.
