[A/S] Re: Balls ? & Tires !
Hi, You didn't say if you were using a straight hitch or using a
load equilizing hitch. The slite ball inclination to the rear applies
only to load equilizing hitches. It drops the rear of the spring bars
abit so the are not so close to the bottom of the trailer drawbar. If
it is a brand of hitch that uses chains to connect the bars to the
drawbar brackets. it gives more movement when turning. Most load
equilizing ball mounts are adjustable and you should not need to
replace it, only adjust it. But if you are using a straight drawbar
(non load equilizing) you need not worry about ball inclination. I
have also found that while correct ball height is important,
adjusting one to within a half inch is usually not possible. Evan if
you do, just an extra 12 pack of pop in the back of the suburban can
change the settings. Good luck. Arnie
