Dean, try Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds or NADA.  All have web sites and 
I found my ex-motorhome on one of those (can't remember which).   
Many dealers have or can provide you with a sheet of "list prices" 
for trailer and options.  I've seen dealer ads with prices of 17% 
off Airstreams.  20% is good to shoot for.  If it is the end of the 
model year, like with cars, they begin to really discount to move 
them out.  Over the years, I've seen dealers with left-overs from a 
year back.  They have been on the lot for a while, but still new and 
carry full warranty.  

For my last two rigs, I went on the internet and asked dealers 
across the country to offer me a price on the model I was looking 
for.  I saved really big $$$ by driving to Ohio to buy my motorhome 
at about an April timeframe.  Then, when I wanted out of the 
motorhome and back to a trailer, I went to the same dealer and his 
deal was terrible.  This time, I wound up with Oasis in Tucson.  I 
really like this dealer.  He is small and very honest.  He faxed me 
the above mentioned sheet (showing list prices for trailer and for 
each option) and I marked the options I wanted and faxed it back to 
him.  In a few days after checking with the factory, he faxed me his 
price.  It was so good, I didn't have to haggle, just had him order 
the unit.  Then, later when I picked it up, he sold/installed 
Hensley hitch and solar equipment just about at cost.  

It just takes time.  And you have to be willing to deal long 
distance.
