[A/S] I am a trailer owner

Hello all,

I joined this list more than a month ago thinking that my husband had
located an Airstream. That trailer never materialized and we began
searching.

Well I just spend a long and tiring day bringing home our new (well
new to us) trailer, a 1975 Avion LeGrande 28'. I got her on Ebay. I
was actually watching several trailers but wound up with this one. My
nephew has a friend with a towing business and since I haven't
purchased a vehicle suitable for towing, I spent the day with a truly
awesome tow truck driver, who took great care with my new baby and
brought her home safe. I was very impressed with his attention to
detail, he really tied up all the loose ends. He said that the
trailer was no problem at all to tow and did great considering it has
been sitting for at least 3 years. I was nervous on the BQE (Brooklyn
Queens Expressway for all you non-New Yorkers) which is pothole
infested and the trailer was fine. I was shocked and amazed.

the couple that I got it from bought it and parked it in their
backyard. They never used it for vacationing, it was used as a study
for the wife who was going back to school. They told me that anything
that was left in there I could have, they said there was some
paperwork left in it. The paperwork turns out to be ALL the original
owner's manuals, including some very cool brochures, showing full
color pictures of the trailer brand new. It is a 1970's extravaganza!
We even found a few 8 track tapes for the tape deck. So cool!

I have been up since 5:50 this morning and I can't type anymore. I
just wanted to share my excitement!
