RE: [A/S] '02 bambi w/couch

I suspect that the photo you saw is of our '02 Bambi LS.  The sofa is a
Flexsteel articulating sofa/bed.  It is VERY comfortable as a sofa and makes
a pretty good bed.  To convert from sofa to bed, you simply lift the front
to just about a 45 degree angle at which point it latches the back and then
you lower the whole assemble which lowers the back and articulates the seat
forward.  To return it to a sofa, you do the same exercise and this time
everything latches and articulates to a sofa.  A/S uses the Flexsteel sofa
in several models.  The downside to this setup is that there is NO factory
dining table.  As we really prefer to eat outside under one of our two
awnings, this is not a big issue for us.  While A/S did at one time install
sofas exclusively in almost all trailers, the 19' Bambi has been exactly the
opposite.  I do not have the numbers on the '03 production, but there was
ONE built in '01, TWO in '02.  If you wanted to change out your rig to a
sofa, it could be done.  The same water tank is used just turned crossways
under the left side of the sofa.  The water pump and valves are in space
under the left armrest.  Camping World sells the sofa (under $500), but the
fabric choices are WAY worse than even those A/S offered.  Also, the
armrests are an A/S fabricated fixture, but not all that difficult to make.
