Hi there,

What brand of awning?? 

I had a Zip Dee installed on a 71 many moons ago, and the dealer that 
installed it cut down a larger one to fit.  The thing leaked and the spring BROKE 
from rust.  Zip Dee would not honor the warrenty as cutting one down is not their 
way.  Got my money back from dealer that installed the cut down one.
