I would tend to think that a screw into dried epoxy would be removable. 
  Doubt that it would hold very well, though, unless there was some sort 
of fibrous filler as well in the hole.  I'd expect the epoxy alone to 
shatter when the screw was installed.

I would look into "Riv-nut" inserts.  They install like a pop rivet, but 
instead of a solid mandrel have a tubular, female threaded core.  Then 
replace the sheet metal screw with a machine screw.  See:

for manufacturer's details.  Every Airstream should have some.  Used to 
use them a lot when I worked on airplanes, which are even more expensive 
toys than Airstreams.  (Believe it or not!)  Why I can't just get an 
inexpensive hobby like diamond collecting or something I'll never know.
