[A/S] Warning: Newbie bursting with excitement!

Hi All!

A very new newbie (just joined a few minutes ago), so have not been
lurking to learn anything yet...

My name is Deb and I am married to my best friend, Rob. We have two
boys and three little furbabies. We live in the Midwest and have
been actively searching for "our" motorhome for a very loooongtime!
I wish I could say that we are within the ranks of y'all, but we are
still climbing that hill.

Like I just said, my DH and I have been searching high and low for
the "perfect" motorhome for our family. Yesterday, I believe, I
found her! In a few short hours I go back for the test drive. I
saw her yesterday while our salesman was out to lunch (should have
called first, but couldn't wait to see her in person), so didn't get
a whole lot of info on it. A couple hours later, we slipped in just
before they closed for DH and kids to see her. Love at first sight
for the entire family. Fingers (and toes) are crossed that it runs
like we hope and doesn't have any big-nasty surprises when we really
dig in and look at more than just her pretty face. We don't get to
see many Airstreams for sale around us, and typically when we find
one, there are a lot of issues with it. This is one like no other
that we have seen so far! I sure hope she has a great personality
to boot! Looks just are NOT everything.

OH! She is a '94 33' Land Yacht that is in MINT condition (inside
and skin)! 65,000 miles (a little high for our taste) and what we
feel is the perfect coach to cut our teeth on. It is obvious that
she was very well loved. My family's TT, when I was a kid, was a
1964 24' Airstream but we (DH, myself, & kids) have had to resort to
tent camping over the past several years due to other priorities.
Needless to say, we did the hotel/motel thing more than the tent
thing! We are finally in a position to enter/re-enter into the RV
world!

If anyone feels that we should know something before going further,
please let me know, but break it to me gently….. Please keep in
mind that this is in our price range, our first motorhome, and
exactly what we have been looking for. If we need to hold out for a
different year, length, or something, we will, but this one is just
soooooo well taken care of. Of course, the drive and inspection
have yet to happen, so we may find something ourselves that isn't
right.

Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself and share the excitement
with someone who knows and appreciates Airstream! If everything
checks out with the test drive and inspection, I promise to love her
just as much as the past owner (or more) and try to take as great of
care of her.

Sorry this is so long; I guess the excitement just got the best of
me!

Have a great day,
Deb
