I have an '03 Suburban, 6.0 engine, 4x4, 3.73 rear end, and Reese 
dual-cam, which I use to pull a 1985 25' Sovereign.  Overall towing 
performance is excellent.  Towing mpg is about 11.7 at 60 mph in 3rd 
gear (mountains as well as on the flats), non-towing mpg is about 
14.5.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this combination.
