Using a table saw on thin plastic stock (such as tile, vinyl siding, 
corrugated roofing) as well as sheet metal will work if you fit the 
finest tooth blade (usually touted as a "plywood" blade) and mount the 
blade backwards.  Sort of like when you start a hand saw on the corner 
of a board by drawing the saw toward you until you hit stock thick 
enough to cut on the forward stroke without splintering.  Of course, 
just as with any cutting, raise the blade only high enough to clear the 
stock you are cutting, which with tile would be not much at all.  This 
will put the maximum amount of teeth (tooth?) against the stock.

Can be done.
