The Vac system is EXCELENT when it works.
You need to hook the hose to your tow vehicals vacuum.
Dont let anyone tell you to rip it out if it works.
I ran my 79 off my 97 ford deisel.
Theres a connector to put on your bumper that recieves the hose on the 
trailer.
The older secumsa controllers work best.
Andy at inland rv makes brake pads for it and any Older airstream dealler can 
work on them.
They were state of the art in the 70s and work like a dream when they're 
cared for.
