Re: [A/S] Univolt buzzing, batteries discharged, pump won't pump
Hi Phyllis,
Univolts do buzz.
that's one of the reasons many of us have replaced them with newer
versions, like the Intellipower.
Second question, I don't trust any of the indicators on the control
panel. You need a meter. I made an adapter that will plug into a 12v
outlet and tell me what's going on. Also, take the battery to be tested.
Water pumps don't like low batteries, but you also have a forest of
faucets to get familiar with. Some of them, like those under the sink,
are to drain the tank. Some where in the back is a faucet that opens to
let in campground supplied water, but must be closed to use the pump.
You probably should get down on your knees and look in at the pump,
see if the hoses in and out are hooked up tight and if the filter needs
to be cleaned.
If all else fails, go find a good local RV place willing to take a look.
You will need them eventually any way and not all AS dealers have a
decent service dpt. Plus there aren't that many of them. Most of your
systems are just like "other" trailers.
good luck
Daisy
