Silicone Removal / 65 Caravel

We finally made the plunge. Deb found a 65 Caravel in Florida that 
she just couldn't live without. After getting it home to Texas, we 
discovered that the door frame was cracked. We immediately took it 
down to North Dallas RV and Randy did a great job on the repair! We 
discovered that one of the previous owners, it appears there may have 
been 3, used silicone caulk in various places on the outside. Does 
anyone have any hints on the best way to remove this silicone caulk 
before we start re-caulking with Vulkem? As we get further into the 
restoration/upgrade, I'm sure we'll be posting a lot more questions.
