You don't want to know <g> Okay, it's what happens if you let the black tank 
run open. Black tanks should be closed until they get lots of liquid in 
them, usually it should be at least 3/4 full. Then you dump it, and follow by 
dumping the grey tank as a "chaser" to clean the sewer slinky hose.

If you leave the black tank open the liquids you put in the tank will run on 
out. The solids however will not run out and will pack down hard. Hence, the 
black pyramid.
