RE: [A/S] water bladder

David:

I have been comtemplating this also after my experiences camping this
past weekend. I went camping (boondocking) and after 2 days had drained
the watertank which I had filled 1/2 way prior to leaving. I am not
crazy about hauling the extra weight of the water not to mention the
stress that it probably puts on the tank.

I have a 300 gal. poly tank that fits in the back of my truck and this
is what I plan on filling (on 1/3 of the way - water = approx. 8lbs per
gallon x 100 = 800 lbs, nearing my payload max. I just need to figure a
way to adapt the 2 - 2 1/2" hose opening on the tank/hose to a normal
diameter hose that will allow me (via gravity) to fill the trailer water
tank. I am certain that it can be done fairly easily - just need to get
the parts and put them together. I will have to go into town and fill
the tank up part way every couple of days but I can deal with that.

I have seen the collapsible poly tanks advertised but am wary. I use 2
x 5 gal collapsible jugs for drinking water and while they work they are
not something that I would want to be storing 100's of gallons of water
in in the back of my truck on a hot day.

If any one else has any ideas please chime in.
