RE: [A/S] New 34' suggestions

I just got my F250PSD back from the dealer - I'd noticed the
transmission temp gauge was in the full red position, so I'd had Ford
Roadside Assistance tow it to the dealer. Bottom line was an entirely
new transmission (automatic) after only 48,000 miles. All they could
tell me was that 1) the tranny oil pan was full of metal, and 2) maybe
the torque converter had been defective. I'm taking my Safari out for a
500 mile trip over the August 1st weekend, so I hope they got it back in
right!

Has anyone else with F250 PSD's had any similar problems? I should note
that I have not pulled my trailer much at all, when compared with many
on this List.
