Jim Smith/small and light trailers

Jim - you weren't born 50 years too early...as we appreciate you being
here "now" with all your interesting input and advice!
In the meantime...over in Europe they've been building "light" and "little"
forever - due to many factors - the cost of fuel - the types of cars/tow
vehicles - a variety of economic factors and a really big one - the
small/narrow size and shape of so many streets and towns and roads - sometimes
incredibly small.
It's also a kick to go back and look at some of the classic small rigs that
Wally Byam towed/"drove" when roaming Europe in the 50's.
In the meantime - there are a couple of European websites that offer some
amazing documentation of small and light trailers from over the years.
Some are absolutely amazing.
Here is the Retro French Camping Club site;
www.rccf.fr.hm/ - they have an English option you can click on.
There is also an incredible Germany archive site - with some incredibly small
trailers listed on it - and there are a couple of good English "Micro Caravan"
sites as well as caravan sites throughout Holland - Denmark - Sweden.

It's fun stuff to look at and ponder.
