in addition to the my vintage Airstream-in-progress, i have a 1983 'Burro';
a 13' fiberglass travel trailer which is virtually identical to the
Scamp/Trillium trailers of the era... just under 1000lbs, and uses a
duratorque axle/suspension... the two molded parts are left and right, not
upper and lower, though.

a few weeks ago, i was in southern california, where i spied a fiberglass
'teardrop' trailer, with a kind of 'scalloped' top... i introduced myself to
the elderly gent who owned it, and he took me on a tour of his collection of
vehicles, license-plates, and hubcaps... the trailer, it turns out, was from
the late 60's (probably), and titled as a 'Compac' in the abbreviated style
of the California DMV... as most teardrops are, the interior main
compartment was a bed, and a shelf... the sink/cooktop were in the aft
section, under a trunk-lid type cover. It was far more suitable than the
Burro for hauling behind my little sports car, but he wasn't selling.

since i saw it, i've been searching the web for references to this little
trailer, to no avail. the owner and his wife still camp in it from time to
time, pulling it behind his original 1938 ford deuce coupe.
