Not so.  The plug on your trailer is already a 120 volt, 15 amp 
configuration (unless they have RV plugs on newer ones) but that 
has nothing to do with its current capacity (ampacity).  The outlet 
is the same story.  There is no way to get more than 30 amps past 
a 30 amp breaker, the problem is one of voltage drop which results 
in amperage rise.  Power will always equal volts times amps and the
load will always need the power to work.  Higher amps also mean more 
heat in the load so as volts drop heat rises.  When temperature 
reaches meltdown the equipment manufacturer gets to sell you a new
widgit at full retail price.

Actually 20 amps will probably run an A/C but not much else in your 
trailer.  The killer is hooking up with a standard extension cord 
which drops your voltage.  Rule of thumb is one wire size larger
for every 100 feet of circuit from the panel.  That means that even a 
30 amp (#10 wire) ain't gonna get ya from the barn to the south forty.
