If the A/C unit is "putting out too many amps", or actually pulling too
much current, you have a dangerous situation in that the wiring might
not be able to withstand the heat built up under such conditions.

If the A/C unit even trips the breakers in the service shop, there is
definitely a problem with the unit, not your rig. Don't think about
increasing the amperage rating of your breakers to handle the increased
load, tho.

I'd take the unit to a dealer and have them correct or replace it with a
unit that doesn't draw so much current.
