I have an F250 PSD and it pulls a 31' Excella.  Both
were bought new, and I don't care to think what would
happen in the event I was in a wreck.

Having said that, and having read all of the posts for
the last week from pro and con hensley folk, I have to
say that I just really don't care what kind of hitch
you have.  I have a hitch and a sway bar that keep my
trailer in reasonable harmony with my tow vehicle.  I
have a tow vehicle that is large enough to safely tow
my trailer.  I have a brake controller and a turbo
brake to help me slow down and come to a stop.  They
work.

All of this talk is a bit like the life insurance
salesman asking you "Just how much do you love your
family".  When it's time to get a new brake
controller, I'll upgrade.  When I get $2500 to $3000
that I don't need, I may get a hensley.  

The bottom line is that I love my wife, my dog, my
cat, and my three birds that travel with me.  I would
never save a dime to their harm.  I feel that I've
done everything I need to to have a safe environment
in my travels - regardless of the problems with my
a/c-heatpump.

OK, so I blew out one of my tires on our way to
beautiful Eufaula, OK.  Yes it was a load range D, and
I'd checked its' inflation prior to leaving this
morning.  Both items learned on this list.

I don't know physics from electricity, to mechanical
engineering - but if you want to know what will happen
if you have a bank account in the Caymans, or Isle of
Mann then I'm the guy to listen to.  I do listen to
y'all, and I absorb a lot of what y'all are saying.  

But jeez guys, look at the subject line.  This thread
started with some poor persons tragic accident.  It
wound up with the hensly saved her life, to driver's
error to whatever else that I erased before I read it.
 I feel sorry for her.  I really don't think it was an
undersized tow vehicle, or neglegence on her part. 
Stuff happens, ask any veteran.
