[A/S] Bambi back in action

We finally got Bambi out of storage and took it in for a wash job and a 
check-up in preparation for the trip to Washington I just wrote about. Bambi 
has been sitting in the storage yard for over 3 years (poor thing) - it had 
algae growing on the North end (back) and was really pitiful looking. Now it 
looks 'almost' as good as new and all the systems checked out OK.

When we took it out of the storage yard we went straight to Sears for new 
tires and battery. We took it to heart - the advice here to replace tires every 
3-4 years even tho they have plenty of tread. We didn't dare take it on the 
highway/freeways for the 120 miles to Los Banos without new ones. It really 
towed nicely behind our Sportsmobile (E350 Ford van) - didn't give nearly as 
much sensation of the tail wagging the dog as towing with the Xterra did.

BTW, when we were picking up Bambi at Toscano RV we looked at a new 
A/S motorhome - the one with the sundeck (patio?) on top. Wowee - fancy! I 
was telling the other customer who took me out to see it about you, Hunter 
(but not by name)  - not liking a steering wheel in your living quarters.  To 
be truthful, if I had the money it would take to buy that MH i would prefer to 
spend it on really nice motels/hotels and probably save money. ;o)
