Re: [A/S] Airstream Accident in Mississippi - #3

hmmm
interesting that the news report says that the trailer started swaying and she
lost control of the vehicle...
got to remember the panic stops and evasive maneuvers. always make sure that
your trailer brakes first then your auto. cannot think of any instance where
that is not true. wonder how she had hers set?

I expect that my Pullrite would likely have come off worse as long as my truck
was braking faster than my trailer. that is why I keep mine set tighter than
some people do, not quite enough to lock but damned close to it. after all, you
have antilock 4W on the Expedition (which I think is too short to pull a 30'
trailer - I use my wife's to spot our trailer but always pull with the van)so it
will always be braking less than your trailer if you have your trailer set
agressively.

anyway you slice it, I much prefer to do trailer brake jobs than truck brakes.

fwiw and what you paid for it.
