[A/S] Zip Dee Tire Shades

Hi Alan, 

In answer to your question, I've done it both ways. My Zip Dee Tire Shades
have been on three different Airstreams. Although I could have used the
provided rivets for attaching the male snaps on the last two Airstreams, I
chose to use stainless steel screws.

Why? There was one occasion early on when strong winds came up while we were
away from our rig and the shades flapped severely (neighbors told us).

With that Airstream, the male snaps were pop riveted. After than experience,
I noticed some of the rivets were not as tight as before the wind storm.

It didn't take much insight  to recognize what could have occurred if an end
snap had come loose during that wind storm. I have enough scratches and
dings on my Airstreams without having more because of my own poor decisions.

In the bigger picture, going to stainless steel screws may have been
overkill, but I like the stronger head on those screws than the head on a
pop rivet. 

By the way, if you want to be one of the first customers at the
International Flea Market, sign up for a table to sell some of your
treasures.  It usually doesn't cost anything to do that and who knows, you
may find another set of tire shades for someone on this list. You could sell
them for 10 cents more than you paid and chalk it up to community service.
