[A/S] Optima batteries at Costco

My Costco here in Oregon is now carrying the Optima Red Top (starter) 
battery ($99.95) and the Optima Blue Top Marine Deep Cycle battery.

Here is the info on the Blue Top:

Price: $142.49

It is hard to beat Costco prices.  Anyone know of a better price?

If you are traveling near Oregon, remember we have no sales tax in our 
state.  So if you buy, say, a washing machine, or generator, at Camping 
World for $395.99, all it will cost you is $395.99

I don't know if the above Optima Marine deep cycle is the best one to use 
in a trailer.  Perhaps Optima has many deep cycle batteries.  Costco only 
carries the two (Red Top Started battery) and the Blue Top Marine Deep 
cycle battery.

While on the subject of batteries,  I was comparting the CCA of the Red Top 
Optima to the Costco brand batteries.  I found a Costco brand battery that 
would fit in my 1972 F250 pickup for less than $50 (I think it was $42.49, 
but not sure; but $40 something).  It had more CCA's than the Optima, and a 
longer warranty.

So, I know the Optima is the latest and greatest, but if another "standard" 
battery has a longer warranty, more CCA's, and cost 1/2 the price, is that 
not the way to go?

Why would I buy a Optima in this case?

Last question:

I know that when the temperature drops, the amps drop.

What happens to a battery in, say, south Florida where it is hot, hot, hot 
all the time?  What will that do to a battery?
