Many years ago, I observed the repair of "punky" wood
in an old wooden sailboat.  The craftsman drilled
small holes in the wood and injected what apparently
was a resin.  This turned the bad spot into a very
hard area that was almost like fiberglass.

Is anyone familiar with this procedure, and has it
been tried on the soft floor areas of an Airstream?
