[A/S] OPD valves and Propane

Hi Y'All;

We don't require OPD valves in all our tanks yet in Canada, but I can
see it coming, so the info I am picking up here is fantastic.
Propane is not quite as volatile as most people think though. I had
to take a propane course in order to fill the tanks on two taxi cars
that I owned, and in order to provide a dangerously flammable or
explosive situation, leaking propane has to be contained in a space
into which it can leak, but not escape or mix with enough air to keep
it below critical mass. If left out in the sun on the patio for
instance, and leaking off the excess, there would be no danger of
fire or explosion. If the leaking propane however (as it is heavier
than air) were to move downwards into the house, and leak enough into
that space, THAT would possibly become a dangerous area. If the
leaking tank was actually in the house, and the doors and windows
were closed - then that would DEFINITELY become a hazard. Bombs away.
