[A/S] Toilet replacemant

The original toilet in our 1965 Overlander was leaking, I removed it, and 
tried to rebuild it. They do not make parts for this model anymor, and I was 
unable to band-aid it back together with out leaks. I am sure someone else 
has had to replace the toilet in a 1965 Overlander.  My problem is this is 
the year that has the fiberglass sort of shelf that the seat is mounted, and 
the toilet itself is mounted under this shelf. What I would like to know is  
(1) What model toilet was used as a replacement (2) How was the situation 
with the shelf overcome.  If anyone has pictures of the replacement, that 
would be great, if not just the advice would be helpful.
