I can see why campgrounds have rules like that.  My guess is the rule isn't 
written in stone, but instead protects them when some crappy looking RV, with 
black tank dripping and electric system fritzing.  They can point to the rule 
and say, "Sorry"

I seriously doubt someone is going to turn away a nice looking Airstream, no 
matter how old it is.

I think it's a CYA type of thing.

I've stayed in some campgrounds that would do better to have that rule... 
some of the RVs I've seen have to be a hazard.
