Thanks to everyone with your suggestions.  We have called Trailside RV - they 
can't get to it for two weeks.  We talked to Glen Thomas (he's the boss at 
Bill Thomas RV) at St. Louis - they will take care of us as soon as we can 
get there, so it looks like that is our best option.

The valve is stuck partially open, so liquid can seep through, but no solids. 
 This also means that when we disconnect from the sewer outlet, liquid will 
build up in the drain line.
