If you look at a lot of SOB's the tank valve is just setting out there on
the outside of the trailer. You can simply cut the drain pipe and install a
new valve. But with the Airstream the valve is inside the skin and was
installed from the inside out. So to replace it you have to get to it and
then figure a way to remove it and then put it all back together. It can be
done, but it is certainly a job for an experienced A/S service facility like
Walt's. Keep us posted.
