You have to be careful about microwave oven ratings.  A 
1000W "cooking power" oven really draws about 1500 watts when the 
magnetron is on.  It cycles on and off to keep it from overheating 
and to control the cooking power.  A 1000W cooking power oven with a 
1500W power consumption rating typically has the magnetron on 2/3 of 
the time.

About the most oven I'd want to try to run on a 1000 is a 600W 
cooking power (drawing 900W when the magnetron is on), and that's 
assuming the batteries are charged and no 12V lights, etc are on so 
the converter isn't drawing 120VAC power, and that the refrigerator 
is on GAS rather than AUTO, where it would be running on 120VAC.

The other thing to remember about selecting a generator is to look at 
the wattage rating of the converter.  A 40-45A is typically rated at 
600-700W, but a 55-60A is rated 900-1000W.  I've read two posts where 
guys upgraded their converter from 40-45 to 55-60 and the EU1000 
shuts down when trying to charge the batteries during boondocking.
