Richard, I use the Honda 1000.. It runs the Microwave and everything else in the camper. It is 20 pounds lighter and $300 cheaper and a little quieter. If you are not going to use the AC, I do not think you will need the bigger unit. bill 25 ft Trade Wind in WV
