Re: [A/S] Not yet:(
We bought our 1st A/S in 99. It was a 79 31' Ambassador.
Got it from a dealer who had passed on and his assistant was clearing out the
stored units. Ours was parked for 5years and I STOLE it for 3300.00
The man at the dealer said the best A/Ss were from the 60s and 70s...All
built like tanks and will last forever compared to anything newer.
It needed nothing but new tires and We traveled across the US 3times bfr
selling it in AZ and doubling our money.........We Had the time of our lifes.
We bought a house in Phoenix and missed the A/S terribly till we got our 74
25' Safari a year ago locally from the orig. owner who put some dents in it
last time he took it out so his son made him sell it.
It needed tires...water pump....water heater....and a Crack fixed in the
black water tank~ (GOTTA LOVE THAT JB WELD)......I hated the humming
unitivolt so I put in a 9100 intllipower....total investment at this time
3800.00
I am happy as a clam as this one fits in the yard so I can admire it out my
back window.
I've owned and driven many TTs in my time and nothing tows like or gives back
like my Chrome Toaster......... Just sit around a campfire sometime and
listen to other folks horror stories or hear about all the moola they laid
out for something that devalues quicker then Enron stock and you will be glad
your A/S followed you home that day!
That's my 2cents!
