Good Morning, Richard,
I can understand a good head of steam being built up over your experiences 
and I don't mean to take anything away from  your story or the advice you 
give.  It's valuable advice.  I, too, "overpaid" for a very similar 1985 25 
foot Sovereign almost two years ago.  I paid $11,000 which will drop more 
than one or two jaws I'll bet but I was impatient and it was exactly what I 
wanted.  Mine is nice and seems to be fine but yours is now updated and 
better than mine.  I'm no rich guy by any stretch (state employee) but I've 
adopted a no regrets attitude.   I figure if the worst mistake I make is 
"overpaying" for exactly what I wanted and am able to enjoy now and for years 
and years, then life is sweet.  Go camping and don't look back.
