[A/S] Flush out!

The motor on my water tank started making all kinds of noise one day while I 
was using my computer. Taking the fuse out stop it from overheating.

If I get it fixed, when I get my hot water hot shot, can I use onboard water 
to flush out my sanitary system every so often?  If so how do I go about such 
a task. 1) fill up tank half way,see if it leaks!  2) ????
For now, I keep a special clean plunger close to the tub and once a week I 
plunge about two inches of clean tub water down (with the outside drain open} 
until it drains quicker. So far no trouble.  Isabelle
