Matt, I restored my ' 68 Tradewind and that is a real Airstream and enough
of a challenge for me. I've seen a number of cobbled up home built vehicles
based on Airstream parts and they don't appeal to me as I'd expect it to be
nothing but trouble. For $20,000 you can buy a really nice classic Airstream
motorhome that is usable, functional, has all the amenities (bathroom, etc)
and will be relatively reliable out on the road and that you can gets parts
for if there's a problem.
