My Safari was still on the assembly line when I bought it and I 
requested NO carpeting and to replace it with some other type of floor. 
I was told "too late"  that carpeting is the first thing put in a 
trailer and everything else is laid on top. What a pain if I want to 
take it out! I'll have to cut around the bed, couch and dinette. The 
dogs love laying on it but I HATE vacuuming up the dirt with my little 
shark! Much easier to sweep it all out the door!
